Craig Alan Shipman

Craig Alan Shipman, 43, born on November 12, 1981, in Indianapolis, IN, to Jeffrey and Carla Shipman. Craig passed away on August 8, 2025, after a long battle with type 1 diabetes and its complications. He resided in Louisville, KY, and also lived in French Lick, New Albany, and Clarksville, all in Indiana.

He is survived by his three sisters: Angela (James) Owens, Katie Hammond, and Laurie Shipman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Craig leaves behind his beloved son, Levi Alexander Shipman, and Levi’s mother, Kristen E. Shipman.

A proud Air Force veteran, Craig dedicated himself after his service to assembling and repairing small devices. He graduated from Indiana University Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Business, with an emphasis on Human Resources.

Craig loved drawing and nature. He was fascinated by dinosaurs and archaeology, studying them extensively—interests that were often reflected in his artwork.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Jeffrey and Carla Shipman on August 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Craig’s life.
