Mark Thomas Uttich

Mark Thomas Uttich, beloved father, Grandpa and oldest of 10 siblings, drew his last breath on the evening of July 19th, 2023 from complications with cancer with his family by his side.  Mark was born in Wheaton, IL on November 4th, 1948. He attended Northern Illinois University and was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Communications. Mark had a storied media career spanning across Chicago, Indianapolis and most notably in Louisville at WHAS Radio for about 20 years, serving on the board for the Crusade for Children and the Kentucky Derby Festival. He was a member of Jeffersontown Christian Church. Mark was an avid golfer, enjoyed dancing and perfecting his “Donald Duck” voice while spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his son, Shane (Katie) Uttich, stepson, Ted (Jessica) Siegel, Siblings: Richard, Theresa (Daniel) Papa, Beth Link, Marty (Trish), Monica Uttich, Meg Uttich and Bill (Leigh) Uttich, and his five grandchildren: Bennett, Lainey, Emmie, Brody and Tatum (Christian), and his loving girlfriend, Debbie Billingsley. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernie and Barbara Uttich, two sisters, Linda and Mary and brother in law, Bob. Services for Mark will be held on Sunday, July 23rd from 1:00-3:30pm with a memorial service immediately following at Jeffersontown Christian Church: 10631 Taylorsville Rd, Jeffersontown, KY 40299.
