Obituary

James D. “Bud,” Daddio,” “Poppy,” Kelley, 82, passed away Sunday August 6, 2023 at home with his family by his side.

James was born on Dec. 15, 1940 in Louisville KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Douglas H. Kelley.

James loved yard sales, coin collecting, pinball machines, slot machines, old Westerns and reminiscing about “The Point”. He attended Trade school in his teenage years and worked as an electrician for more than 40 years traveling all over the US , as an employee of, I B E W Local 369, Louisville, KY, until his retirement in 2000.

James is preceded in death by former wife, Betty L. Kelley, and their son, Douglas E. Kelley ( Carla Kelley)

Together they are survived by three children ; Tabitha M. Kelley, Matthew V. Kelley, (Amy Simmons) , Janet R. Kelley-Jackson,( D. Eric D. Jackson). Grandchildren; Olivia D Kelley, Jordan R Kelley, Jessica K Kelley, Janaé M Kelley -Jackson, Samantha Kelley, Marcus Kelley, and Jaidyn D. Jackson.

James is also survived by his four sisters; Evelyn Ziegler, Betty Ann Gardiner (Jim Gardiner), Sharon L Tucker (Dennis Tucker) and Karen Carter (John Carter). James is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
