Obituary

Essten Paul Ehalt, age 45 of Jeffersonville, Indiana shared his last crooked grin with us on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 as a result of complications from Lymphatic Cancer. He was born
February 6th, 1978 in Michigan City, Indiana to parents, Deborah (Lynch) and Mark Ehalt. He loved his motorcycles, bartending, Star Wars (before Disney took over), the Chicago Bears, and witty banter with anyone willing to engage. Those that knew him well, knew exactly how Essten felt about politics, religion, and handicap parking. Essten, an Air Force veteran and loving father, will be most remembered for his quirky personality and heart for those in need.

He is survived by his mother, Debi Parish (Bruce Brantley); children, Revan and Kenzie Ehalt; grandson, Brayson Dawes; grandmother, Mary Jane Ehalt; sister, Sara Thornsberry (Matt Thornsberry); his bull terrier, Abby, and a host of other family and friends that love him dearly.

A celebration of life for Essten will be held on May 20th, 2023 at Union Restaurant and Gameyard in Jeffersonville, Indiana from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. For all those who care to join, we welcome you to join us at Match Cigar Bar immediately to follow for Essten’s last call at the bar he loved so well.
