Obituary

Doris Jean Hodge was born to the late Richard Brasher Sr. and Mary Patrick Brasher Derrick Jones on July 4, 1946.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Brasher Jr.; sister, Catherine Dillion; son, Anthony Brasher; and a grandson, Sherman Brasher.

She leaves behind to mourn, her children, Sherwood (Lashonna) Brasher, Sherman Brasher, Wayne (Sharon) Brasher, Michael (Lavonne) Brown, Shetara Brasher, Mary (Darrell) Hodge, honorary daughters, Ellen White, Anica and Bridgett Brasher; aunt, Josephine Lancaster; brothers and sisters, Ruthie Gammage, Flossie (Raul) Fountain, Judy (Sam) Hayes, Deborah (Erwin, AKA Squeaky) Barnett, Horace Brasher, Roy (Sherry) Brasher; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great grand children; one great great grandchild; a host of family; and two best friends, Diane Ford and Nancy Smith.

We love you and you will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of life for Doris on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 8202 Greenwood Road, Louisville, KY 40258 from 2pm to 6pm.
